Bob McCleod Our Father's ArmsOur Father’s Arms is a place of healing for individuals and families in crisis, a ministry magnifying Jesus. Most of you don’t even know of its existence in Jacksonville, Al. I met this holy man several years ago. What a blessing he is to everyone needing help and to the community. Bob is all about the Lord and helping others. I’ve never known him to turn anyone away. He is truly following Jesus’ example. On occasion we correspond. Each time I get a response from him he always provides a bible verse. I love that about him. Somehow the verse always is so relevant to me and my situation at the time.

I thank you Bob for helping my family and so many young men and women throughout the years. You have given these people hope. Most of all you shared Jesus with them. You have been instrumental in changing the rest of their lives by teaching them about Jesus’ love and forgiveness. You have stayed in the background and put Jesus in the foreground. May God bless this healing house, you, the ministry staff, your family and all involved.

The Lord once told me “less you and more me”. That is how Bob lives for the Lord. We can all learn from him and his example.

The following is directly from Our Father’s Arms website. It gives you an idea of what Bob and Our Father’s Arms are like.

Fanny Crosby, the dear blind sister who has helped millions to see, wrote these words in 1869:
“Rescue the perishing, care for the dying, snatch them in pity from sin and the grave, weep o’er the erring one, lift up the fallen, tell them of Jesus, the Mighty to save.”

Fanny Crosby’s words are the heartbeat of this ministry called, “Our Father’s Arms.” We began in 1996 in and old dilapidated, abandoned house, providing a place for prodigal sons to come home. We have since expanded and been allowed the privilege of offering hope and providing opportunities for women, children and families as well. We’re also involved in orphanages, prisons and impoverished neighborhoods in other parts of the world.

We have a 30 acre farm with a spacious home for men, a separate home a few minutes away on 3 acres we call, “Eagle’s Nest” for women including mothers and their children.”

Hundreds have called OFA home. Many have been healed and delivered from drug addiction and a cursed life style. We are intimately involved with the local Sheriff’s department, jail inmates and their families.
God is our source and we are ever mindful that it’s His battle and He’s already won it! We also believe in hard work and continue to develop businesses that bless our community and provide work opportunities for our residents.

“Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8″
