The Message-Darkness to Light, April 2021

It’s not too hard for Christians to shine these days, with so much evil and wickedness in the world, we shine the brightest in the darkness.

Whether your deeds are good or evil, light will expose them. Think of how many people have fallen because their evil deeds were exposed to include Presidents, the famous, and everyday people.

John 3:19-21 Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

God tells us in His Word that nothing can be hidden, not thoughts, words, not actions. Makes no difference if you did it alone, a thousand miles away, or at home in secrecy. Your sins will find you out. You may try to hide your sin, but that makes no difference to God. He knows all things. It isn’t if they will be exposed, it is when. The truth will come forth whenever determines the timing of it.

Luke 12:2-3 For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have spoken in the

dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.

Mark 4:22 For everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open and every secret will be brought to light.

Even Cain in the Garden of Eden, tried to hide the fact he murdered his brother Abel. He pretended like he didn’t know where Cain was when God came asking about his whereabouts. Of course God already knew what had happened. He told Cain your brother’s blood is crying out to me.

Genesis 4:9-10 Then the Lord said to Cain, Where is Abel your brother?

He said, I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper? And He said, What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.

If you have things hidden in the darkness, do whatever is necessary to remove them. Repent and the Lord will forgive you.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

When God exposes hidden sin it is to bring about repentance. He loves us and would rather expose our sin than allow us to stay in it. God hates sin. It separates us from Him.

Every evil word or deed will have a day of reckoning, if it isn’t covered by the blood of Jesus. The full payment of sin will be demanded by God. Repent now and allow the blood of Jesus to cleanse your heart.

Not all things done in the dark are evil. God tells us in His Word not to do good things so others will see them, but rather do them privately. Do not do them so others may say, how wonderful you are. Instead do them where only God sees. He will bless and reward you.

Matthew 6:4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

Matthew 6:1 Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

God bless. Heal the brokenhearted, bind up all their wounds.
