Shout It Out – Fire for God’s Purposes – Dec 2018

Sometimes God places us in the fire to make changes in us. When the fire begins trust God to take care of you. He wants to purify us.

I’ve been in a few fires the Lord allowed for His purposes. It’s difficult but when you get to the other side of it, you will be a stronger believer. Your faith has grown, your relationship with God is closer. There is deeper trust and you will depend on Him more instead of yourself or others. He never leaves you in the fire by yourself.

Job 23:10  But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.

The next time a crisis comes your way, you will handle it differently than you did before going through the fire. The storms will come and you will bend in them instead of breaking. Your spiritual roots have grown deeper in our Lord. When another crisis arises you will see it cannot touch you as they used to. You may go to the point of breaking but without breaking because your confidence isn’t in yourself but in Him. Going through the fire changes us on the inside.

Psalm1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither and whatever he does shall prosper.

When you are afraid you may drown in desperation or be burned in the fire of your circumstances, remember what God has said.

Isaiah 43:1-2 Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through the fire you shall not be burned and the flame shall not consume you.

Thank You Lord for loving me enough not to leave me this way. I want to be more like Your Son Jesus and should be thankful for the heat You have put me through to refine me. Your Word says You will perfect all things concerning me and I am grateful to You for it. In Jesus Name.

1 Peter 1:6-7 So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold, though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Though the trial of fire is long and hard, be encouraged that He is with you. Trust in Him. That means to read His Word and trust He will do what it says because you belong to Him. He is in control not us, so put it in His hands and lean not on your own understanding. God has His eye on the clock and the thermostat of the fire you are in. He won’t let you stay down but will bring you out stronger than ever with a testimony that will honor and glorify Him.

Some circumstances we experience are used to point us to the Father. The Lord hears your cry and every prayer. He says, as you call out to Him in the fires of affliction, He will respond. Just as the refining of gold removes impurities, the things in your life that are unacceptable, shall also be removed. The Lord will remove the impurities from our lives and He will strengthen us as we are being refined.

God uses adversity to make us stronger. Through these fires of life He teaches us to endure and persevere. He once told me: What you need now is patient endurance. Let me tell you, the season I have been in lately is definitely teaching me patience and endurance. Regardless, I choose to praise Him. The storm still rages around me no matter how I try to get out of it. The wind is howling as well. I will bless His Name no matter what circumstances I find myself in.

He will bring us through difficult seasons and remove what is restricting us from moving forward. As we trust Him, He will free us from our doubts, fears and restraints that hold us bondage. He will help us to shake off the despair, heaviness and depression that may have attached themselves to us. Do not yield to the enemy who wants you to stay down and out. Then we will be free from anything that is keeping us from receiving a life of abundance. The fires of adversity have a purpose.

John 10:10 The thief comes to kill, steal and to destroy. I am come so you may have life and have it more abundantly.

God bless. Heal the brokenhearted, bind up all their wounds.
