Bible Strong-Forgiveness of Sins, January 2021

Jesus wants to heal, and provide forgiveness for all sinners. No matter how far someone has fallen, no one is beyond Christ’s love and redemption of sins. Everyone has the potential to receive Jesus’ forgiveness and salvation.

1 John 1:9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me Lord and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.

If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, see yourself as the new creation that you are. You have been washed clean by the blood of Jesus. You are no longer the person you used to be. All your sins are washed away.

They are cast into the deepest sea.

Isaiah 1:18 Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow though they be red like crimson, they shall be like wool.

Micah 7:19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

So leave your sins where they are, in the past. Stop thinking about things that can’t be changed, and are forgiven by the Creator Himself.

If you haven’t asked for forgiveness, do so now. Give it to the Lord, and leave it there. God doesn’t want you continually thinking about your past sins. He wants you to put them to rest. Even He has chosen to erase them from His memory and that is enough reason to lay them down. When we lay them down, we acknowledge the price Jesus paid for our sins so we could be made right with God. We acknowledge the cross was enough, that when He said “it is finished”, we believe it and stand on it.

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Philippines 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.

Psalms 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

You are no longer condemned of your sins. You are a child of the light not of darkness. God has spoken.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus…

Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

There is one unforgivable sin. Anyone who loves God would never commit this sin. It is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit of God. Blasphemy includes ridicule and attributing the works of Holy Spirit to the devil.

Mark 3:28-29 Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.

Matthew 12:31-32 Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

Blasphemy against Holy Spirit is the sin of attributing to Satan what is the work of the Holy Spirit of God. An example is when the Pharisees had accused Jesus of driving out demons, claiming it to be by the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons.

Matthew 12:22-28 Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed the man so that he could speak and see. The crowds were astounded and asked, Could this be the Son of David? But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, Only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, does this man drive out demons. Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

God bless. Heal the brokenhearted, bind up all their wounds.
