Christian Man Choosing A PathThe Bible tells us about Jesus and hell, so that we can make the choice between good and evil. It is all about the choices we make in this lifetime. We can either choose to follow Jesus or satan. Once we die without Jesus in our heart, it is too late.

You’ve heard the phrase “the gates of hell are up against me”? Well, when you die without Jesus as your Lord and Savior you will be up against and go through the gates of hell. The Bible says there will only be darkness and no light. After all, if you are in hell, you chose the darkness and satan and not Jesus and the light. The darkness is only the beginning. From reading scripture, I imagine it could be like this:

There will be no light, no music, no touching, no love, and no joy. There will be sounds of moaning and wailing coming through the darkness from every direction. Your feet will touch nothing, it is a bottomless pit.

As the fear washes over your body, you will crave a drink of water. It is hot there. It is hot, searing, intolerable heat. You’d give anything for a drink. The hot air chokes you. You gag and cough. You think if only you could sleep for a while, it may be better when you wake up. But, there is no sleep in hell, only darkness.

You know others are in hell, you hear them, but you won’t be talking to them because the only thing that is coming out of your mouth and theirs are screams of terror, moans and the gnashing of teeth.
You wish you could warn your friends and loved ones about this place. You think back on the time when you rejected Jesus, instead of choosing eternal life. You now know you were wrong, but it’s too late. It didn’t seem important at the time. You were having fun, drinking in the bars, getting high with your friends, stealing when you needed money, abusive when you got mad, lying to stay out of trouble, cheating, slandering, and cursing.

Oh how you hope your friends and loved ones won’t come to this place. You hope they choose Jesus. You will never see them again, never touch them, never speak to them, or hear their voice speaking to you.
Now you hear people coming in. There are a lot of people coming to this place, through those gates of hell. You can’t see them but you hear their cries. You open your mouth to speak to them. Nothing comes out but, sounds of terror, and screams.

You are in this place of hell all because you refused to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You rejected His love, forgiveness, mercy and His grace. You just wanted to do whatever you wanted to do. You didn’t want to live for Jesus.

But wait! Wait! They said there would be no light in hell. Huh, they were wrong about that. There is something of a faint light coming towards me. They were wrong. Maybe they were wrong about other things as well. Maybe I can get a drink of water and sleep a little. I would love to call my Mom or friends.
The faint, faint light is getting closer. It is just a flicker of light but growing as it gets closer and closer. Oh no! Not that my mind screams. I feel heat getting closer. I feel the heat and I realize what it is. The faint light is coming from flames of fire that are headed my way. Waves of fire with a faint light flickering off the flames, licking the air. Getting closer and closer. Flames of fire coming quickly now. Quickly.

I see it up close. I see now the fire won’t kill me, although I wish it would. I know this because I still hear the others screaming, I hear their wailings, the gnashing of their teeth. The flames went right through them, on the way to me.

Oh how I wish I had accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. It is too late for me. I will spend eternity in this place.

Right now, there are millions of people who have rejected Jesus, and will spend eternity in hell, burning, weeping, and wailing, without any hope whatsoever.

Revelations 14:11 The smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever, and they have no rest day nor night.

If you haven’t accepted Jesus, you still have a chance to accept Him as your Savior. He will forgive all your sins, wash you whiter than snow.

The Bible and those believers weren’t wrong about what they said about Jesus or what they said about hell. Jesus said you are either for me or against me.

God gave mankind free will. He will never force Jesus on anyone. You are free to live your life just as you please, in the darkness with satan or in the light with Jesus. Choose wisely, eternity waits for you somewhere.

You will be going through the gates, either the gates of heaven or the gates of hell. It is your decision. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and let Him show you His love, grace, and mercy. Let the Holy Spirit lead and guide you for the rest of your life. In the heavenly gates with Jesus, eternity will be awesome.
