The Message-Giving Thanks

2017 is now behind us. We have had good times and bad. We can’t change anything about it, but we can be thankful God allowed us to live through it.

Choose to focus on the good times. As you do, lift up your hands and simply say, Lord I thank You. I am thankful for who You are, for what You have done for me and mine and what You will be doing in 2018.

Lord today:

I thank You for not giving up on me, but rather you were long suffering and provided me with Salvation through Your Son Jesus. I thank You for forgiveness of sins and eternal life with You.

I thank You Lord for sending Your Angels to watch over me, to keep me from stumbling, to help and protect me.

I thank You for opening the windows of heaven and pouring down blessings. I know I don’t deserve them Lord but You bless me anyway. Thank You.

I thank You for Your healing power that heals me over and over again. Without the touch of Your hand I wouldn’t be able to soar on the wings of the Eagles and continue serving You.

Thank You for filling me with hope when I felt hopeless. When I felt all was lost that my best days were behind me. It was You who lifted me up from the mire of sorrow and grief to keep me from drowning so I could live again. I raised my hand like a drowning man and You pulled me out. You didn’t let go but held onto me and still have me. Healing, healing, healing restoration. You are a pain taker. Thank You Lord.

Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds

Psalm 143:3 For the enemy hath persecuted my soul, he hath smitten my life down to the ground, he hath made me to dwell in darkness as those that have been long dead.

Thank You for breaking the chains that bound me for so long. The chains of fear and worry, imaginations and strongholds from the enemy. You are a way maker and a chain breaker.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

I thank You Lord that while the earth shakes I am not moved. You will not let me fall. Your hand is always on me. You have planted my feet on solid ground, on the Rock named Jesus. He is the Rock of my salvation, my shield, refuge, my fortress and my high tower. The gates of hell shall not move me in the Name of Jesus.

I thank You for scattering my enemies and all those who want to hurt me. When they came against me one way You scattered them seven ways. You are my armor, my shield and sword.

Thank You for always providing all I have needed or will ever need. You make a way where there seems to be no way. You have moved the mountains and made the crooked way straight for me.

Thank You for lifting burdens off my shoulders because, when I am weak You are strong. For reviving my soul when I was down and out, ready to give up. Your love lifted me.

I thank You Lord for protecting my children and grandchildren. When the enemy tried to take my loved ones, You brought them back to the cross. When the enemy comes against them you have and will surround my loved ones, placing a hedge of protection around them, protecting them from Satan.

Thank You that death, hell and the grave have been defeated, all because of Jesus. Death is conquered and I have eternal life because the Spirit of the Lord lives in me to lead and guide me, to teach, touch, comfort and correct me. I can do nothing good without You. Because of You I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Think about what the Lord has brought you through. I know He had to carry some of you as He has me when I cried out to Jesus.

This life is a memorial to Jesus Christ, who He is and what He has done for us. Right now lift up your hands and begin thanking God for all He has done for you. Be specific and let heaven hear it. Thank Him for all He has done that you didn’t deserve, for every morning you woke up with His Grace renewed, for the love and mercy He gives that endures forever. Thank Him for opening doors no man could open and closing the ones He doesn’t want you going through now or maybe never. Thank Him for every day that He loved you when you didn’t deserve His love. For all the many blessings He has rained down on us, the undeserving ones.

God wants to heal your soul (mind will and emotions), deliver you from your past, your fears and worry, addictions, from being bruised, cracked and broken and from all the things that have hurt you. He can take the bad in your life and turn it around for good.

He can bring you from destruction to victory. Healing, healing, healing, restoration is yours in Christ Jesus.

Reading the Bible, the Word of God is food for the soul and the key to healing. It renews our minds each time we read scriptures. The Word not only heals and restores the soul, it changes our mind-set.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword….

Psalm 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

God has a life for you, a future. He’s made plans to help you not to hurt you. He wants to use you to influence other people by spreading the Gospel, teaching others about Jesus or just by being a good example for others. Tell the Lord, here I am use me.

If you believe Jesus died for your sins, rose from the grave and ascended to Heaven to prepare a place for you, ask Jesus to come into your heart to forgive you of your sins. At that moment the blood of Jesus will cleanse you of your sins. In that moment, the Holy Spirit will bear witness with your spirit that you have passed from death unto life. The peace of God will fill your mind and His peace will fill your heart. He will begin the process to mend the brokenhearted and bind up all their wounds. Then you can begin the process of walking in faith with Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Thank Him and bless His Holy Name.

God Bless. Heal the broken hearted, bind up all their wounds.
