The Message-He Led Me Through the Wilderness

My brother, three sisters and I lost our mother and father at young ages. Then two years later we lost our little brother. It changed the course of our lives forever.

We had to move from Compton, California to Anniston, Alabama. We were separated because there were 5 of us and our grandmother Mother Carroll was elderly and could not take care of all of us. We were poor on top of that. We didn’t have normal good childhoods with parents supporting us. We got off to a bad start.

It doesn’t matter what kind of beginning you had, but it matters where you finish. I believe all we suffered through was teaching, training and growing us. It was character and endurance building. The Lord uses the things Satan wants to use for your harm, for your good and for His plan. We sisters know and love Jesus. Although we got off to a bad start, we are finishing this journey on earth with Jesus Christ and you can too. That is Jesus’s plan.

Jesus got me through my childhood and adult circumstances, dark days, and tough times that wanted to destroy me. He led me through the wilderness, through the drought, and deserts where there was no water.

I was stung, and bitten by the snakes, and scorpions. That was Satan’s plan, to kill me, destroy me, to keep me from Jesus. God had other plans. He had chosen me before I was born. No devil or demons can snatch God’s chosen out of His hand.

Jesus will lead you through dark days and tough times. Times when you want to call it quits, run and hide, commit suicide. He will get you through the loss of loved ones that you think will kill you, through the drug addiction that is literally eating you up inside and out, through the pornography addiction that is ruining your life and your relationships, the gambling addiction, that break up, the abortion, the physical and sexual abuse and the alcohol addiction. He will lead you through the wilderness. Ask Him to.

He will feed you manna in the worst times of your life. He will give you water when you are in the drought of your life, homeless, jobless. When everyone else has left you for dead, He will lift you up, even when it doesn’t look like you will survive the bites and stings of the serpents and scorpions. He will bring you through. Ask Him to.

Just like God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, He led me through the wilderness of life and sin and He covered me with His robe of righteousness. He will bring you out of your Egypt of sin and bondage if you will ask Him to.

Deuteronomy 31:8 It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

The Lord wants you to know, He will help you through the wilderness of your storms, your troubles. He will help you through the loss of loved ones, through school, unemployment, the addiction, the hurt, the aloneness, and your pain. He will walk with you through them. Lift your hands like a drowning man and the Lord will hold on to you. Cry out to Jesus.

If not for the Lord, I would not be here right now. He brought me through all my trials and all that Satan was trying to do to me. If the Lord had not redeemed me, I would not have this opportunity to praise Jesus, worship, and lift His Name on High. I wouldn’t be sharing this with you, and ministering to the Women of Tutwiler Prison.

The Bible says He will do good things for you. God has blessed me. He has given me the greatest gift, Jesus, His love, grace and mercy. He is my Provider, Savior, Redeemer, Physician, Teacher and more. My cup runneth over because of Jesus. Thank You Jesus for all of your unfailing love, grace, and mercy. I know I don’t deserve it Lord.

He wants to do it for you. Will you let Him? Will you ask Him to come into your heart and forgive you of your sins? Will you ask the Holy Spirit to please enter, and lead, guide, teach, touch, heal and comfort you?

God Bless. Heal the broken-hearted, bind up all their wounds.
