Shout It Out-In the Struggle, January 2020

Our journey is not without purpose. We meet God along the way in the good and the bad. We meet Him more intimately in adversity, sickness, brokenness, and loss. It is there that we talk more to Him, we sometimes cry out to Him, we get on our knees and pray for His help and guidance. This is where we open our heart to Him with fervent prayer, seeking His love, grace, and mercy. It is in the struggle where we gain strength. We may also acquire more faith, patience, and endurance. It is in the struggle that our fruit of the Spirit is grown. It is there that we obtain more grace, mercy and forgiveness for others. It is in the struggle that we most often come to the end of ourselves and turn to God.

Strength comes from struggle. Going through trials helps develop your character. It refines you, like fire refines gold and silver. The righteous right hand of God will be there to lift you up out of your struggles, at the right time, the perfect time. He won’t be early nor late, but right on time. His eye is on the clock.

The enemy always has a plan to prevent good things from happening. Satan doesn’t want any good thing to touch your life. Going through these trials, develops your ability to cope with your circumstances. No matter what you have to go through, the hand of God will be there to pull you out of your troubles.

So the enemy attacked you in that weak spot you have. You were down and out so long, the flames touched you all around. You went under the water. All that could be seen was your lifted hands. You werelike a drowning man. Satan thought he had you. He had beaten you down. He tempted you, accused you, he whispered into your mind. He was ready to throw the last punch at you, but God.

You walked through the valley of the shadow of death. Your enemies surrounded you. They left you for dead. But, the Lord stepped in, and saved you. He is the conqueror of death. He reached way down with the mighty right hand of His righteousness, and pulled you up. The Lord says, I will go before you, and make the crooked places straight, I will break in the gate that’s trying to keep you out. I am your lifeline, your defense.

You were touched by the flames, you went under the water, almost drowned, but He saved you! Jesus is powerful, and full of authority. No matter what you are going through, God can rescue you. When you come out on the other side, you will not be the same. You will be stronger, your faith, trust, patience and endurance grows, all because of Jesus. Coming out, you will be in a closer relationship with the Lord. All for the Glory of God.

Before Jesus came, we were without hope. At the cross, He took our sins, our grief, and our sickness. He took our death, and gave us life everlasting. He took our shame, our past, and gave us joy. He took away the fear, and darkness, and gave us light to walk in. He is the way. He is the Way Maker. He is the Redeemer with an outstretched arm. He will never fail you. Never leave nor forsake you. He endures from generation to generation. If God is for you, who can be against you?

Though your enemies surround you, God surrounds your enemies. Though they will come against you one way, they will flee from you seven ways. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. God is a yoke breaker, a problem solver, a warrior above all warriors. He is your God, the wound binder, the broken heart healer, the Great I Am, the Perfect Savior, the King of eternity, and the Lion of Juda.

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, and to bring abundant life. Jesus, and Satan couldn’t have a more different purpose.

1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Joshua 24:15 says, choose this day who you will serve.

The Bible is a weapon against the enemy. It is a weapon of warfare in the mouth of every believer. It is the shield of faith that protects you from the fiery darts. Speak God’s Word when you are going through hardships, a struggle, trial or difficult time. You need the certainty of God when you face the fiery darts from Satan. You find that certainty in His Word.

Psalm 91:14-16 The Lord says, I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer. I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.

As followers of Jesus, fiery darts are thrown at you from Satan on a regular basis. Satan uses your thoughts, your mind to implant doubt, fear, depression, and discouragement.

Ephesians 6:16 At all times carry faith as a shield, for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows, shot by the Evil One.

Satan will never stop throwing the fiery darts at you. You will always have struggles, trials, and tribulations. You must be on guard and speak God’s Word when Satan tries to put doubt, fear etc. in your mind. Trust God and His Word, no matter what is going on in your life.

Always be armed with the Shield of Faith and Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Faith and His Word are powerful weapons against Satan and his demons. The Lord tells us, No weapon formed against you shall prosper; Greater is He that is in you than he that is in this world.

If Jesus is your Lord and Savior, then your life is in His hands. He is the Rock of Ages and His foundation is strong. If you are sick, He is the Great Physician. When worry keeps you up at night He is your Prince of Peace. When you walk through the shadow of death, He has already conquered death, hell, and the grave. If the enemy surrounds you one way, he will flee from you seven ways. He is the Lord of Lords, and the King of Kings.

Praise You Jesus.

God Bless. Heal the brokenhearted, bind up all their wounds.
