Rant for Jesus-Jesus is Worthy, July 2021

We praise Jesus because He is worthy. Our praise ascribes worth to Him because of who He is and what He does. We give thanks and honor to the One who is worthy, Jesus.

Revelation 5:12 saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.

Once in heaven, all of God’s people join in eternal praise of God. With the curse of sin removed, we will forever praise Jesus, the King of Kings in perfection. Our praise and worship on earth is getting us ready for the celebration of praise that will happen in eternity with Jesus.

Psalm 145:1 Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.

If you don’t like to praise Jesus on earth, you may need to examine yourself. That will be one of the things we do in heaven, a lot!!!

I know Jesus is worthy from all I have experienced in and through Him. I have tasted and seen His goodness over me. When I gave up, He showed up. When my enemies surrounded me, there He was telling me not to fear, that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. He reminded me that I am more than a conqueror through Him and every evil act meant for my harm would be used for my good. He says do not fear for I will help you. He provides everything I need, love, joy, peace, grace, mercy, strength, hope, confidence, forgiveness of sin and eternal life. He has prepared a place in heaven for me. Praise Jesus!

Oh I know He is worthy of all the praise, honor, glory, blessings and treasures. Because of my sin, I should have suffered, been persecuted, spat on, ridiculed, not sinless Jesus. He saved and redeemed me. He took my place. Praise His Holy Name. Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come. How can you not praise Him who is so worthy?

Psalm 145:3 The Lord is great, to be praised highly, though his greatness is indescribable.

Revelation 4:11 Worthy are you, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for your pleasure you created all things, and because of your will they existed, and were created.

This verse is about John’s vision of the 24 elders, near the throne of God in heaven. They recognize that God deserves all the glory, honor and power because He is sovereign and the creator of all to include the universe.

All things were created for God’s pleasure and owe their existence to God. He created us and made a way for us as sinners to be reconciled to Him through Jesus, because we could not be reconciled to him, any other way.

Instead of sacrificing His only Son, God could have destroyed the rebellious sinful creation and start over. He didn’t. Instead God sent Jesus to save His creation through the sacrificial death of Jesus. What a God. What a Savior.

Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying, Worthy are you to take the book and to break its seals; for you were slain, and purchased for God with your blood, men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.

There is no one in this world or out, like Jesus. No one nor anything can be compared to Him. He is worthy of all praise, honor, glory, blessings, treasures. He is worthy.

Romans 5:10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Revelation 4:9-11 And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Worthy are you our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.

Let all Christians join me and declare:

Revelation 5:12-14 Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing! To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever. Amen.

He can carry your burdens and set you free. If you are broken today, praise Him. He can heal your pain. If you are sorrowful, praise Him, for in His Presence is the fullness of joy. If your enemies surround you, praise Him. He is an ever present help in the time of trouble.

You Lord Jesus are worthy!! I praise Your Holy Name.

God bless. Heal the brokenhearted, bind up all their wounds.
