Rant for Jesus-Journey with Jesus February, 2019

The journey following Jesus isn’t easy, smooth, or without trials, but it is a journey worth taking. You see, your eternity is at stake. The definition of eternity is an endless period of time.

There is nothing on this earth worth sacrificing your eternity for. No man, woman, drugs, money, alcohol, power, sex or anything, is worth spending eternity in hell over, being tormented day and night, away from Jesus. You have a choice to make either Jesus or Satan. There are no other choices. You will either live your life for Jesus with forgiveness of sins and eternal life or you will live for Satan with death and eternal hell as your reward.

There is no middle ground. Choose who you will follow.

When you ask Jesus to come into your life, it will start a new beginning in your life, a new time for you. He will change your heart and make you a new person through Him. You will take off the old man and put on the new man.

You may have to go around some obstacles that are trying to block your walk with Jesus. Satan will use everything he can to stop you from following Jesus. The Lord may have to take some people out of your life that are too strong for you to leave behind, and are not good for you. They may be a hindrance to your walk with Jesus. Yes it’s family, friends and loved ones.

God removes them because they cannot go where He is taking you. They have served God’s purpose in your life. Let them go. Thank Jesus for filling the empty places where He has removed people and things that were not good for you.

Even people who betray you are part of God’s plan. He uses what was meant for your harm and turns it into something good for you. Jesus couldn’t get to the cross without Judas.

Before I followed Jesus, the Lord took two people out of my life that were too strong for me to leave behind. One at a time He removed them. Each with different circumstances but remove them He did. I had been very close to these two people for many years. We did everything together. God knew I didn’t have the strength to remove them by myself.

I did sinful things with them. Things I thought were fun at the time. I didn’t see the harm in how I behaved with and around them. I look back now and see that same behavior that brought me much pleasure, as being shameful ungodly behavior now. I will never go back to that life without Jesus.

Shortly after they were removed from my life, I began going to church and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and began following Jesus. I am so grateful the Lord didn’t give up on me. Without His love, grace and mercy I would still be in my pit following Satan and not Jesus.

Jesus rescues us and then sends us out to rescue others by sharing Jesus with them.

Not just eternity is at stake, but the life you live on earth is at stake as well.

John 10:10 Jesus said: The thief comes to steal, kill and to destroy. I have come so they could have life and have it more abundantly.

I want to live abundantly while on earth and Jesus makes that happen. Satan wants to kill us and get us away from Jesus. He will destroy us so we will doubt our God. He uses any means necessary to tempt us, trick us, and deceive us, all to get us away from Jesus. He will use your family, friends, loved ones and anyone else he can to get to us negatively.

Although as believers, we still must go through storms, trials and difficult circumstances, Jesus gives us what we need to get through them. Some of these circumstances are so painful you don’t know if you will make it out.

On your own you won’t survive intact, but with our Savior Jesus, we will make it through any storm Satan throws at us. It won’t be easy and probably will be painful. But nothing is impossible for our God. Jesus will never leave nor forsake you.

We come out better and stronger in faith and dependence on Him on the other side. In the storms, He teaches us things we could not learn any other way.

While we are in the adverse circumstances the Lord is refining us. He is growing our faith, patience and endurance. Jesus had to go through many hardships while on the earth and we must as well.

If we need strength, He gives us His. If we need motivation, the Holy Spirit provides it. Whatever we need God will provide it, just ask. God does not expect us to live for Jesus on this earth on our own. The truth is we can’t anyway. The Holy Spirit lives inside us, and is with us all the time. The Lord said, He would never leave us nor forsake us. Our Helper is as close as can be, He dwells within us. He will help you and strengthen you. He will lift you up with His righteous right hand.

God loves you, and wants you to have a great life on this earth. He will bless you when you least expect it. Against all odds, He can open up the windows of Heaven, and pour out blessings, for those who love Him and strive to live their lives like Jesus did.

Although you may be bruised by what you went through to get to Jesus, you are a survivor an overcomer through Jesus. You probably had to give up some things and some people to follow Jesus. You may not have had any people to help you like others do, but you came anyway.

You see where you are now. Your haters see where you are now as well. No person can take credit for your journey to Jesus.  Maybe you had to knock down some walls, fell down along the way, stumbled and shed many tears, but you made the journey to Jesus. Forgiveness of sins and eternal life is yours in Jesus Name.

Through the Holy Spirit who lives inside of every believer, you have received power to prevail over Satan. We were created to have dominion over everything on the earth. God gave us His power to rule on His behalf. We are to keep Satan from causing destruction, chaos, and devastation on the earth whenever we can. We are in this world but not of this world. Resist Satan in Jesus Name.

When you realize you have been created to stop Satan and have dominion over him, you shouldn’t be afraid to fight against him. We are to glorify God, and we cannot do that if we let Satan have his way.

When Satan attacks our minds we must speak God’s Word out loud. If we resist him he must flee. He can’t read your mind, so speak Scripture out loud. He hates you, Jesus and God’s Word. It stops him cold when we speak it.

I have several go to Scriptures I speak depending on the circumstances.

Some examples: Lord take my thoughts captive unto the obedience of Christ.

I have the mind of Christ because Christ lives inside of me.

Greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world.

I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me.

If I resist the devil he must flee.

Devil I resist you in the name of Jesus.

Use your favorite verses that fit the situation you are going through.

You are not a victim, you are not a loser, and you are not defeated. You are a power-walking child of the Most High God! You have authority over Satan. So fight against Satan and his demons.

When Satan attacks speak out loud:

I will give no place to fear or guilt for greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

I will not let Satan assault my mind with negative thoughts. I will resist him, standing firm in faith.

I will not allow Satan to condemn me by using my past against me. I have put off the old man and put on the new man.

I will not let Satan use me by putting anger and bitterness in me. I will be kind and forgiving even as God has forgiven me.

I will face my enemy when he tells me I am worthless, that my past defines me.  All my sins have been washed away.

I will reject the lies when Satan tells me I have no future. I will put on the belt of truth.

When Satan attacks with accusations and condemning thoughts I will remember I am the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ.

No weapon formed against me shall prosper.

I will never give up. I am more than a conqueror though Him that loves me. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, principalities nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come can separate me from my God.

I will never stop, I will never give up. The devil is a liar. If my God is for me who can be against me. I will fight.

If you haven’t made the journey to Jesus, ask Him to come into your heart, to forgive you of your sins. Turn your life over to Him. Surrender your will for His.

God Bless. Heal the broken-hearted, bind up all their wounds.
