Kelli JohnsonGod bless you Kelli, in all of your endeavors. I pray the Lord opens every good door, and closes any that would do you harm. May you always praise His name and sing to Him. Thank you for sharing the gifts God gave you, with all of us. His Name is high and lifted up, with your music.

I first noticed Kelli while she was singing and playing guitar on the Dugger Mountain Music Hall show, located in Jacksonville, Alabama. She is blessed and gifted by God. I want to honor her, for being a humble servant of God, and for changing people’s lives through her music.

Kelli writes her own songs and music. The ones that really got my attention were the ones she sang about the Lord. The songs are straight from her heart. I’m sure the Lord placed them there. You can hear her love for God in her music. A couple years ago, on one interview, I heard her say, the Lord was blessing her so much, that the songs were just jumping onto the page. She is such a humble child of God. After hearing Kelli on the show, I even wrote a song based on one of hers.

Kelli and I didn’t know each other, had never talked or communicated, but a few months ago, Kelli contacted me. She had been on the ministry website, and saw I ministered at Tutwiler Prison. She volunteered to go to Tutwiler with me, and play and sing for the Women of Tutwiler. She told me she wanted to do something to help others, specifically a prison ministry. What a blessing it was for me, to hear that from her. She is the only person to want to help me do anything for the prisoners. I explained that I had previously asked permission to bring my guitar into the prison, however, I wasn’t allowed to do so. A month or so went by and she again offered to “bring the music”. I felt like I had to step out in faith, when she offered for the second time. I wrote Chaplain Brown at the prison and asked if it would be possible for us to coordinate a small concert for the Women of Tutwiler. Due to security reasons we won’t be allowed to have the concert. However, it is the fact she wanted to use the talents God has given her to help these women that is so awesome.

Kelli is so talented, she has her own TV program, Kelli’s Acoustic Crossroads, where she plays and sings and also promotes other artists and their music. Kelli is also Associate Producer and frequent guest of the Dugger Mountain Music Hall, which is broadcast on The Heartland, The Walk, WEAC TV 24, WMJN TV 29, and APT.

In 2008, she released her first solo project, and hasn’t stopped! Her song from that album “Somebody in Alabama Loves You” has been recorded by The Bluegrass Soul Pickers, Pam Thrower and Shine, and Swiss Recording artist Rick Harris, and caught the recognition of Herd Records CEO Angela Prince. She continued to work with Herd Records in Mobile as a songwriter, with several of her songs being featured in regional and national TV commercials, and she also wrote “Brand New Day” which became the campaign song for 2010 Alabama Gubernatorial Candidate Judge Roy Moore.

In 2011 she won the Alabama State Texaco Country Showdown, and in 2013 released a Praise and Worship single on iTunes- “You Are My Everything”. Her newest single, “Over My Head” recently won Grand Prize in the 2013 Nashville International Summer Songwriting Series hosted by Paramount Song. It was also featured on the Phil Mack International Country Music Show, broadcasting in Ireland, the UK, and parts of Germany.

Kelli released her second solo project, Enjoying the Ride with Fully Equipped Media in March 2014, followed by an inspirational album to be released on the New Dugger Mountain Music Hall Label.
Kelli, you are a bright and wonderful example of someone living their life for Jesus.
God Bless. Heal the broken-hearted, bind up all their wounds.
