Lola TurnerI would like to honor someone who was a great influence in my life and many others. Lola is 87, and has blessed many people with her spirit. She is a follower of Jesus and has been a believer the majority of her life. Lola was a Sunday school teacher for about 30 years, and has influenced so many children and young people in the church in the Jacksonville, Al. area. Lola was also involved with the Womans Missionary Union. One of her students told me she has a beautiful alto voice.

I want to say publicly, thank you Lola for all you did for me in my career. I am now retired myself, and had a successful career with the Department of Defense. You see, Lola was my supervisor for several years, at the beginning of my career at Finance & Accounting Office (F&AO), Ft. McClellan, Al. Lola was over the Analysis & Reconciliation Section. To be in that section you had to know all about the whole F&AO, as all their work fed into this section. She was tough, determined, very capable and ran a “tight ship”. She took me under her wing and trained me, not just in my job but in everyone’s job in the section. A few years later, with the knowledge she had drilled into me, I moved on in my career. Without the training and patience she showed me I could have never gone as far as I did. Thank you so much Lola, for putting up with me and instilling in me a great work ethic. I couldn’t have done it without the Lord and you. The Lord put you in my path and I will be forever grateful.

Lola, may the Lord bless you and keep you. May He turn His face towards you and give you peace.

God Bless. Heal the broken-hearted, bind up all their wounds.
