The Message-No Room in the Inn or in People’s Hearts

A Savior left heaven and came down to earth and earth received her King. In a stable in Bethlehem, a child was born. He is the Savior and Creator of the world and universe, and He has left His mark on humanity throughout history. He is precious to all who know Him. His Name is high and lifted up.

When Joseph tried to find a place for Mary to give birth to Jesus, he went to an innkeeper. The innkeeper told Joseph he didn’t have any room for Jesus’s birth. Had he made room for Jesus, he would be well known throughout history. I’m sure he would be a very blessed man because of it.

Many people today don’t have room for Jesus in their lives or a place for Him in their hearts. They don’t have time for Jesus because they allow so many other things to take up all their time. Things such as their jobs, sports, gaming, television, friends, drinking and drugging etc. are placed high on their priority list, not Jesus. Some are missing out on eternal life and many blessings while in the earth as well.

After Jesus was born, the wealthy wise men of the East known as the Magi were led from Jerusalem to Bethlehem, by a star God sent, which led them to Christ their newborn King. The light of heaven shown down on where Jesus was born.

Matthew 2:9 …and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was.

It is very possible to be religious and not see Jesus for who He is, but the wise men saw Him for who He was. God had entered the world as a baby.

Matthew 1:21 And she will bring forth a Son and you shall call His Name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.

Matthew 1:23 Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son and they shall call His Name Immanuel, which is translated, God with us.

The Magi brought their finest gifts to honor Him. They fell down in His Presence and worshipped Him. They brought gold which was fit for a King, frankincense as a gift for a Priest and myrrh an ointment used in burial. Jesus was born our King, Priest and our Sacrifice. Seeing the Christ Child and the fulfilling of Scripture forever changed these wise men.

Let us be forever changed and transformed by the Grace of Jesus this Christmas.

While reading Luke in the New Testament, I came upon a genealogy of Jesus and it goes all the way back to Adam and the beginning of humanity. When Jesus died, He shed His blood for all the world and all the world’s lineage is in His blood.

Jesus is the way which God came to the earth and how people get to heaven. Only through Jesus Christ and His shed blood can we be reconciled to Father God in heaven. Only through Him and His righteousness can we stand in God’s Presence.

Jesus was born to die for us. He first loved us before we ever knew Him. This is what Christmas is all about. Let us praise His Holy Name.

Jesus is the Promised One, the Messiah and the eternal King of Kings. As the Promised One He is worthy of our hope. As the Messiah He is worthy of our trust. As the eternal King of Kings He is worthy of our devotion our submission and our all. There has never been another One like Him.

As a gift to Jesus this Christmas let us give Him our hearts. That’s all He’s ever wanted from us.

Let us declare our love to King Jesus. Jesus forgives our sins because He loves us. Forgiving others is showing our love for Jesus for forgiving us. It also brings peace to our souls. We can show our love for Jesus by reading His Word, prayer and worship. Take communion often in remembrance of Jesus, who He is and what He has done for us.

Serving others is a way to express our gratitude to Jesus for serving each of us, by His life and death. We can serve others at home, school and work, all in the Name of Jesus.

Let us give our all to Him. Use your talents, gifts and abilities for the glory of God. Use your words and deeds for His glory.

Jesus came the first time as a perfect Lamb a humble Servant sinless and without stain. He was beaten, bruised, whipped, spit upon, led to the slaughter and nailed to a cross to die. He did not complain or murmur. Praise the Lamb of God.

When He comes back to earth, He will be riding on a white horse followed by the Armies of Heaven. On His thigh will be written, Lord of Lord and King of Kings for all to see. A sword (Word of God) shall come from His mouth and with it He will destroy His enemies, all of those who chose not to accept and follow Him. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. He will walk up to the Temple in Jerusalem that is so debated and argued about still today. There He will put His Throne and of His Kingdom there will be no end.

As Mary held baby Jesus she remembers what the Angel had told her-His Kingdom will never end. You can be a part of His Kingdom if you accept Him as your Lord and Savior. Receive the invitation from Jesus, it is for everyone.

Look for Jesus this Christmas. He is still with us. His love endures forever. Rejoice and praise His Holy Name.

God bless. Heal the brokenhearted, bind up all their wounds.
