Rant for Jesus-Praise Him, April 2020

The tragedies and disaster in the world are ever increasing. Corona Virus is killing our older generation and sickening the rest. No one is exempt, it is all over the world. God is shaking the world and people have taken notice.

Will the world praise God during these times of tragedies and disasters? Will you?

Each of us will be tested as to whether we will praise Him in the difficult times, in the valley. It’s easy to praise Him on the mountain top, but how about during this Pandemic, or the earthquake, or sickness, or death of a loved one. Will you still praise Him when the medical test comes back positive, when your spouse is leaving you, your child is on drugs, your finances are failing etc.? At these times it seems God is far from us and we feel He has forgotten us.

Therefore it takes a lot for us to bring a sacrifice of praise. When we bring that personal sacrifice of praise we are acknowledging that God is still great and He can still be trusted and depended upon. True praise continues regardless of circumstances. It comes from a heart of worship in the good and the bad. When we praise God in spite of our circumstances, the storms and the trials, our faith grows deeper. He hears our praise, He sees our sacrifice and He will act on our behalf in our circumstances.

The sacrifice of praise comes from a humbled grateful heart purified by the fire of affliction. It comes from a spirit that has chosen to praise and honor God regardless of the pain life has caused. I will praise Him all of my days regardless of my circumstances.

Psalm 51:16-17 You do not delight in sacrifice or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. My sacrifice O God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, you God will not despise.

Hebrews 13:15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.

When you praise God, He is right in the middle of our lives, whether we realize it or not. He inhabits our praise. He is there to protect His loved ones. The enemy cannot move you with Lord God Almighty in our midst. The enemy’s time grows shorter and shorter and he knows it.

We must use our praise and worship as a weapon, because it is. Our praise creates joy, gratitude and thankfulness. It places us in a position for God’s blessings to be poured out on us. It grows our faith as it reminds us of how great our God is. Praise comes from a close relationship with the Lord and brings us closer to Him. Isn’t that what we want the most, to be closer to Him?

Chuck Pierce: Praise causes the presence of the Lord to come into our midst. Even though God is omniscient, He manifests His authority and rule in our environment when we praise Him. When we praise, God comes in and leads us forth… When we praise, our faith and trust increase.

Satan hates us praising God. He wants to receive that praise. He hates praise and prayer because he knows they will overthrow his plans. Just the mention of Jesus’ name, stops Him and he must flee as a coward.

Choose praise as your weapon of warfare as well as speaking God’s Word out loud so the enemy Satan can hear it. Knock down every anxious fearful thought with praise for our Jesus. Say: I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in this world. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, in Jesus Name.

The answer to every tragedy, disaster, pandemic etc. in the world is God. Keep on praising Him in the valley until you see the victory and make it back to the mountaintop. Choosing to praise defeats the enemy, increases our faith to a new level, and God inhabits our praise. He is close, very close when we praise Him.

God bless. Heal the brokenhearted, bind up all their wounds.
