The Message-Satan’s Leash January, 2019

Our God is Omnipotent, Omniscience, and Omnipresent. Omnipotence means God is all-powerful and has supreme power with no limitations. Omniscience means God is all-knowing. Omnipresent means God is everywhere at the same time.

God knows about the battle you are in today. He allowed it. He sees the storms that are coming your way and is already praying for you. Jesus is a great Intercessor as He sits on the throne at the right hand of God.

Satan has to get permission from God before he can touch you. God is sovereign, in control. He sees your enemies and knows their plans. Our Sovereign God has Satan on a leash and he cannot go beyond what God allows him to do.

Job 1:9-12 Satan replied to the Lord, Yes, but Job has good reason to fear God. You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is!  But reach out and take away everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face! All right, you may test him, the Lord said to Satan. Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically. So Satan left the Lord’s presence.

God allowed Satan to afflict Job who was a righteous man and faithful to God. He allowed Satan to take Job to the edge, to the brink. Though He didn’t allow Satan to kill him, Job wanted to die because of the pain and suffering he endured.

Satan asked for Simon Peter so he could shake up his life, prove he wasn’t faithful to Jesus and so Peter wouldn’t praise God anymore but worship Satan instead. He wanted to make things so bad for Peter that he wouldn’t believe all those promises Jesus told him about.

Luke 22:31-32 Jesus said to the disciple Peter. Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail. And when you return to Me, strengthen your brothers.

When wheat is sifted everything is shaken. It’s torn apart to separate the good wheat that is usable from the part of the wheat that has impure elements.

Satan wanted to tear Peter apart, to destroy him. Satan asked for Peter so he could break him, hoping he would no longer follow Jesus.

Jesus tells Peter-when you return to me…Jesus knows what you are going to go through. He knows what Satan has asked to do to you and He knows the outcome-when you return to me, when you get through it, on the other side of it, you can tell others what a mighty God you serve.

Jesus is very aware of Satan’s schemes against Peter and you. Satan wants to make things so bad that you doubt and lose faith in God. However, Jesus prayed for Peter and He prays for you as well.

Hebrews 7:25 He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.

Satan often tempts believers to reveal and emphasize their weaknesses. He wants them to turn away from God. The battles, trials and tests that come to God’s people are only those He allows to come. There is a purpose in allowing you to go through them. He has His eye on the clock and the thermostat. He is a good good Savior.

When Jesus prays for you He is praying for strength when you are weak, joy when you are filled with sorrow, forgiveness to chase away anger, love to drive away hate and for goodness to overcome wickedness. He is making a way where there seems to be no way.

When Satan asks for you, Jesus is already praying. He is on your side child of God. When you are in the battle, He is praying for you. When He sees the fight ahead, He’s already praying for your success. He’s preparing a table before you in the presence of your enemies. No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

These battles are to see who gets the glory, it’s to see if evil or good wins, the darkness or the light. It’s to see who you choose to live your life for, God or Satan.

Through all of it I say blessed be the Name of the Lord. No matter what Satan does to me, I will follow You Jesus all the days of my life. I will lift up my hands and praise You as long as I have breath. You are worthy of praise, honor and glory.

This is a message to Satan, that when he comes against me I will still praise God. He can try to destroy me, sift me like wheat but he won’t be able to do it because I am covered by the blood of Jesus. There is power in the blood. When the enemy falsely accuses me, it will boomerang right back on their heads. When you bring bad circumstances against me, it won’t work because there is still power in the blood of Jesus. I rebuke you Satan in the Name of Jesus.

When you praise Him in the midst of your battles, you are telling Satan he can’t have you that he can’t take away your faith, you are not giving up on Jesus. You are still in the fight against him and Jesus is your Lord and Savior.

God honors your praise and gives us glory strength to help get us through the battles we face.

I know you are hurting, that your circumstances look impossible to you.

And the mountain looks too big to move. Ask God to help you. There are wounds that need healing, broken hearts that need mending. God can heal and mend them all. He is still faithful and there is victory through Jesus Christ.

Healing, healing, healing, restoration in Jesus Name.

God bless. Heal the brokenhearted, bind up all their wounds.
