The Message-Seek His Face

Most of the time when life is going along just fine, we don’t take time to be thankful or to praise and worship Father God, our Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It sometimes takes serious problems, trials or health issues to get us down on our knees or to turn to God’s Word. When the pain or the heart break comes we usually find ourselves bending the knee, crying out to God for help and seeking His face. You can seek God by reading His Word, listening and singing praise and worship music, praying, listening to Christian television, and of course prayer. You will find Him in all of this.

Psalm 9:10 For you Lord have not forsaken those who seek you.

He’s saying if you will seek me I can help you with that problem, with your children, your business, and your health issues. Seek Me and I will be there to pick you up and give you the strength to carry on. Seek Me and I can make a way where there seems to be no way.

I’m old enough now and have been through enough hardships and hurts that I know better to wait for trouble to come. I know they are coming, so I take time before hand to bend the knee and praise and worship my God.

Past troubles and trials have made me a very thankful person. I am so grateful for what the Lord has done in my life and my children and grandchildren’s lives. He saved us, He washed all our sins away and made us whiter than snow through Jesus. He has called us His own and given us eternal life with Him in heaven. Thank You Jesus.

Psalm 10:4 The wicked are too proud to seek God. They seem to think that God is dead.

Wickedness does not take the time to read His Word, to pray, to spend time with God. They do not create an atmosphere in their lives for God. They are lacking God consciousness.

Righteous people who are going to heaven, can become proud. A proud person may say I don’t need to seek God. I’m saved, I’m already going to heaven. I don’t have to seek God. If the last thought that comes into your mind in the midst of trouble, strife and brokenness is God, then you aren’t seeking after Him. The first thought that should come to mind when your life has shattered, when your children or other loved ones are in trouble is Jesus. Seek God before you start trying to get help elsewhere. Don’t get on the phone to a friend before you go to Jesus with the problem. Seek God’s help and let Him show you what to do next, even if it is to be still, and continue to pray while you patiently endure.

Psalm 27:8-10 My heart has heard you say, Come and talk with me. And my heart responds, Lord, I am coming. Do not turn your back on me. Do not reject your servant in anger. You have always been my helper. Don’t leave me now, don’t abandon me, O God of my salvation. Even if my father and mother abandon me the Lord will hold me close.

The Lord will whisper to your heart to come read His Word and seek My face. Bend your knees and seek My face. Spend time thanking Me and praising and worshipping Me, and seek My face.

When you hear this you will know it is from the Holy Spirit within you, asking you to spend time, to be in relationship with and to seek His Holy face. You have to make a decision whether to seek His face or not.

Psalm 34:10 Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

If you will seek God, He is going to take care of you and your problems. If you are seeking God you will lack for no good things. Your children will be blessed. You will receive increase and favor. There is nothing good He will withhold from you if you will seek Him, spend time with Him, read His Word and live His Word. Seek Him daily in the good and the bad, the ups and the downs, in joy and in tears, seek God. Seek His face.

Psalm 40:6 But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, The Lord is great.

Jeremiah 29 12-13 In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly you will find me.

This verse is for the young and old alike. That dream you have, that plan for your future, your purpose in life will only be found if you seek Him. If you will search for Him with all your heart, you will find Him. You must seek a relationship with God. Not just a Sunday relationship but a daily relationship with Jesus. God says I know the plans I have for you, but you will only get to walk through those plans if you seek His face.

Seek Him and acknowledge Him in all you do and He will direct your steps. He says, read My Word it is full of wisdom, talk to me, and listen for me I want to communicate with you.

You probably know someone who has a good relationship with Jesus. It didn’t happen overnight. This person has been seeking fervently God’s face, day after day. They have been reading and speaking God’s Word. They listen for His direction through His Word. When a scripture jumps out at you, when you know in your heart it is for you at that time and moment, and then you hear the same scripture the next day, or maybe see it on a sign and then the preacher is preaching on it, you know that scripture is for you. It is God communicating with you. Maybe He’s trying to alert you about something, or telling you to move forward or be still. Listen. These types of things will happen over and over if you will faithfully read His Word. He answers your questions your concerns through scripture. He leads and guides you through His Word. Seek His face. Seek Him. When you seek Him something powerful is released into your life.

2 Chronicles 26:5 is saying as long as you seek guidance from the Lord, God will give you success.

Young people, business people, all people, if you will diligently seek His face He will give you what you need to succeed if you will seek Him. He can make it so other people bless you and show you favor.

When you receive God’s favor and He makes you prosper, don’t make the mistake of not seeking Him anymore. Don’t let pride and arrogance enter into your heart thinking you can do it on your own, in your own effort by your own hand. Don’t get too busy enjoying your prosperity and all the blessings God gives you to seek God’s face. You can do nothing good and it won’t be lasting without Him. Always remember who gave you your gifts and talents that are inside of you. Remember who opened the right doors for you and closed the ones He didn’t want you to go through. Always thank Him.

Genesis 4:7 You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching like a lion at the door eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.

When everything is going our way, we tend to get lax about praying, praising and worshiping the One who made it happen in the first place. Satan wants you to fail in your relationship with Jesus. Satan wants to tempt you and cause you to sin. But if you will seek Jesus, He will give you prosperity, increase, success and blessings you can’t imagine receiving.

He will give you the strength and wisdom to defeat Satan at every turn. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. You have the power of God living on the inside of you to defeat every temptation Satan puts in your path. Greater is He that is in you than he (Satan) that is in the world.

Listen for His voice, His whisper. Seek Him, seek His face.

Your face Lord my Savior, I will seek today and every day. Teach me to read, speak and live Your Word. Your Word says if I seek You I will find You. Lord I have found You. You are a mighty, mighty, mighty great God.

God Bless. Heal the broken-hearted, bind up all their wounds.
