Shout It Out-Struggles, May 2019

In the Bible, Peter says that everyone is struggling and suffering from something. You can’t come to the cross where Jesus suffered for us and not expect to also have to suffer in your desire to become more like Him, to follow Him on that narrow road that leads to heaven. Satan hates you, the world hates you and there will be struggles. Remember Jesus loves you.

1 Peter 5:9-10 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

Jesus said if they hated me you can expect the same. You aren’t always going to have an easy life. Things are not always going to go your way. You will have troubles, it is guaranteed.

John 15:18-19 If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

The call to follow Jesus comes with a cost. The enemy will attack you over and over again. His goal is to get you away from Jesus. To have you question or doubt your faith in Jesus. The enemy will place temptations, distractions and fear in your path. You must stand strong in your faith, no matter the circumstances. No matter the hurt, pain, grief or sorrow you feel, Jesus is there for you. He will never leave you and will walk through every circumstance with you. He will take you to the other side. You will be stronger for it. When we are weak, He is strong. Let Him take you through the fire and get you to the other side. God will take what the enemy has done to you and turn it around for your good. The enemy can’t win against God.

Romans 5:3-5 More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

1 Peter 5:10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

The cross calls to you. Jesus says: bring me your pain, anger, hurt, broken heart, grief, depression, guilt, fear, anxiety, addiction, broken dreams, ruined life, rebellious children, broken marriage and sickness. Let me heal the place where your hurt is dark and deep. I will heal you where you hurt and wash away all the pain and the stain in you. No matter what has happened I can heal you wherever you have pain. I can heal your broken heart, wipe your tears away from that betrayal, rejection and loss. Where you have been shattered and disrespected I will heal you. One moment of My Grace makes it all go away, makes you whole again. Nothing is too hard for Me, I am God and you are My child. I love you. My love endures forever. I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will go through the fire and the waters with you. I will carry you through. Trust Me, depend on Me. I will never fail you. Cry out to Me. I will hear you and help you.

God bless. Heal the brokenhearted, bind up all their wounds.
