Bible Strong-The Lord is my Shepherd

In John 10 you will see they know their Shepherd, they know His voice, they hear Him calling, they love Him, they trust Him, and they follow Him.

The Good Shepherd left the 99

The Good Shepherd goes

The Good Shepherd seeks

The Good Shepherd finds

The Good Shepherd lifts the lost sheep on His shoulders of strength

The Good Shepherd rejoices.

John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

The Lord is my shepherd

Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He cares for us, watches over us, and preserves us.

I shall not want

I will have everything I need if I allow Him to be my Shepherd.

The birds of the air do not reap, sow or store away in barns but the Father feeds them.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures

He leads us into green pastures of His Word and we feed on it. He knows we need rest, to allow what we have received from Him and His Word to get inside us.

He leadeth me beside the still waters

The Holy Spirit cares for us like waters, to cleanse, refresh and to cherish. We need stillness where we can rest and think on Him and seek Him. Seek His face.

He restoreth my soul

He brings back the wayward soul from sin and death into life and the light. When the soul is sorrowful He revives it, when sinful He sanctifies it and when we are weak He strengthens us.

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake

Led by His love the Shepherd leads us to walk in the narrow way of righteousness. Our path is going around and around Jesus, faith to faith, glory to glory until we reach our destination, heaven.

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou art with me

Death is but a deliverance from pain, and sorrows and a beginning of everlasting joy. Heavenly pleasures so great, the tongue is unable to express, neither eyes to see, nor ear to hear them, nor any earthly man’s heart to conceive them. O death, where is thy sting? To die is gain, and departing to be with Christ is far better.

Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me

The Lord uses His rod and His staff to gently prod or push us at times. It may be for your protection or to keep you on the path He has for you.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.

Though the enemy is at the door, God prepares a table, and we sit down and eat, in peace with the Lord. We will feast on grace while the enemy can only watch.

Thou annointest my head with oil

The Lord anoints us with His grace daily. His goodness, mercy, grace and blessings show us we are precious in His sight.

My cup runneth over

The Lord loves us and cares for us beyond our needs and wants. He blesses us. Some have their cup filled with too many other things to receive His blessings. There is no room for Him. My cup runneth over, thank You Jesus.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life

Goodness supplies our needs, and mercy blots out our sins. It is a statement of future protection. As we go through this life we will be blessed with enough grace for each day to get us through.

I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever

Jesus is going to see us through this life and help us on our way to Heaven where we will gaze upon His beautiful face.

Matthew 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

God Bless. Heal the brokenhearted, bind up all their wounds.
