Shout It Out-Why Jesus Lived and Died

 December 2020

One birth out of billions, stands far above them all. It is the birth of Jesus. His birth is still exciting after 2000 years. He first loved us before we ever knew Him. His birth, His love, grace and mercy, His goodness over us, this is what Christmas is all about. Let us praise His Holy Name.

Jesus was born to die for us. That baby born in a manger gave His life for us. He became sin for us so we could become the righteousness of God.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Happy birthday Jesus, we are worshiping You in songs of praise. You are high and lifted up, because of the joy, we who love You, feel. We are so thankful for You our Savior. Christmas is all about You. Everything good comes from You.

You are the light of the world shining through the darkness, bright as lightning. Keep shining on us Jesus. Shine in our hearts, mold us and transform us to become more like You.

Jesus left heaven to come to this sin filled world full of evil and wickedness, hurt and pain, hopelessness and death. He did it for us. He took the curse of our sin so He might point us to God. His Name is Emmanuel-God with us. With love in His eyes and heart, He layed Himself down for all of us. In doing so He brought the broken to life. He gave us a way to be reconciled to the Father, through Himself. There could be no Christmas without Jesus.

John 1:14 So the Word became flesh and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

The cross is why Jesus left heaven and came to earth. He knew what He had to do to save us. He took the punishment we deserve. He did it for us because He loves us. Why else would someone give His life for others who are sinners that don’t even know Him? Amazing Grace that saved a wretch like me.

John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh which I will give for the life of the world.

Jesus was born to destroy the works of the devil. That everyone who believed in Him could be set free, forgiven of their sins and spend eternity with Him in heaven. That is why there was a baby Jesus born in a manger in Bethlehem. He is Christ the Lord, the most precious gift that could ever be given.

1 John 3:8 He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Jesus was born to do for us what we couldn’t do for ourselves. He died to give us forgiveness of sins and eternal life with Him. He died so we could be the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. Salvation is what He has freely given us through His birth, death and resurrection.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Jesus is the way which God came to the earth and the way people get to heaven. Only through Jesus Christ and His shed blood can we be reconciled to Father God in heaven. Only through Jesus and His righteousness can we stand in God’s Presence.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

He lived in this world, faced temptations, hatred, rejection, persecution and trials of many kinds, all without sinning. Jesus conquered death hell and the grave. There’s not one of us who could do that. Jesus overcame this world and so can we, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. There has not been and never will be another One like Him.

Jesus is no longer in Bethlehem, rather He’s right where each of us are. During this Christmas season and celebrations you may not be aware of Him but He is close by. Look beyond the decorations, shopping and your to do list and listen with your heart. You will find He’s waiting right there close by for you. You are the one He wants to be with. You’re the reason He came. Seek Him in your stillness, as He whispers your name.

As a gift to Jesus this Christmas season let us give Him our hearts. That’s all He’s ever wanted from us anyway. Let us declare our love to Him. Jesus forgives our sins because He loves us. We fail Him all the time but He gives us chance after chance and always forgives us when we repent.

We can show our love for Jesus by reading His Word, prayer, praise and worship. Serving others is a way to express our gratitude to Jesus for serving us by His life and death. We can serve others in prison, at home, school and work, all in the Name of Jesus.

Let us give our all to Him. Use your talents, gifts and abilities for the glory of God. Use your words and deeds for His glory. Take communion in remembrance of Jesus, who He is and what He has done for us.

We celebrate Jesus’ birth because He defeated sin. He has paid for all of our sins and our forgiveness. Our past no longer exists in His eyes. He has removed our sin far from us and He will not look upon it again. All guilt and shame is removed because, we who believe are new creatures through Jesus. He gave us a new heart. His righteousness is our righteousness. When God looks upon us believers, He doesn’t see our sin, He sees us wrapped in a robe of righteousness that looks like His Son Jesus.

Jesus is the way which God came to the earth and the way people get to heaven. Only through Jesus Christ and His shed blood can we be reconciled to Father God in heaven. Only through Jesus and His righteousness can we stand in God’s Presence and have eternal life with Him.

As I look back I remember how far Jesus carried me because of the hurts of this world. He didn’t leave me and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Precious Jesus came to save us. All you have to do is accept Him as your Lord and Savior.

Accept Jesus as your Savior today and let Him fill you with love. He will forgive all your sins, wash you whiter than snow. Makes no difference where you’ve been, let Him into your heart. Forgiveness is yours through Jesus Christ. Let Him pour His grace on you. Let us declare our love to and for Him.

Romans 10:9-10 If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with thy mouth confession is made unto salvation.

2 Cor. 5:21 Confess Him as your Lord, and Savior and become the righteousness of God in Christ.

Have a wonderful Merry Christmas as we remember our Lord Jesus’ birth.

Oh come let us adore Him Christ the Lord, born in a manger in Bethlehem to save all who would believe in Him.

God bless. Heal the brokenhearted, bind up all their wounds.
