Rant for Jesus-Willing Servant August 2018

To become a servant, we must be more like Jesus and have a servants’ heart of humility and obedience. Jesus said His role to the disciples was as a servant.

Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

God wants you to become involved in His purposes, in what He is doing in the world. You will have to put His purposes ahead of your own. He is trying to bring salvation to the world, and needs to work through you to get it done. You must have faith and believe He will enable you to do whatever He asks. He may assign you tasks that are beyond your power to accomplish. That is when you need to be ready to trust Him completely. Be assured He will equip you, to do whatever needs to be done.

Isaiah 46:11 ….yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

The Lord gives us supernatural empowering to accomplish our assignments. We just need to step out in faith, believing, trusting Him. Don’t look at your abilities, look at His. He created the heavens and the earth, and everything in it. He can do anything He wants. He is all powerful, all knowing. Our God is mighty!

The key is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. You don’t have to be gifted or talented, just be a willing servant and surrender your life, yield to God and let Him use you. God uses ordinary people to accomplish His purposes. He receives glory when exceptional things are done through unexceptional people. People recognize that it is only God that could have done it. If you view yourself as weak, shy, limited, you are great material for God to work through. Although you may look at yourself as very ordinary, God will prepare you for your mission, if you are willing to do your part. If God prompts you to do something, do it with excellence. When God begins using your life for His purposes, you will recognize that it is God.

The things He invites us to do, are based on what He is working on in the world. He wants your help in bringing salvation to the world. Jesus promised that those who worked alongside Him would find rest for their souls. It is a privilege to be in relationship, and work alongside God. The experience is fulfilling, thrilling, joyful. It is never burdensome. Your attitude should be, I’ll do anything You want me to.

God often calls people to follow Him, without giving them all the details of the mission. When I was called to minister at Tutwiler Prison for Women, I had no clue how to go about doing that. He told me where to go, but He didn’t tell me how to do it. I wasn’t trained, had never even thought of being a minister. I was totally dependent on God, through the leading of the Holy Spirit to show me what to do. I did have one thing in my favor. I believed that if He asked me to do it, that I could do it. I remember standing in my kitchen, saying I can do anything You ask me to do, because Christ is in me. I can do it. I will do it.

That is how Sherry Clark Ministry began, totally depending on God to lead and guide me. Praise Jesus. I can’t do anything on my own. I am still seeking His wisdom and will for this ministry. Without God’s guidance, I would fail. No one would listen to me or read the ministry website. I am totally DEPENDENT on God. All glory to God for this ministry.

He wants our focus on Him. He wants us to trust Him, to remain close to Him, seeking Him for guidance. Every day we must seek Him and His guidance in our lives. Then we will experience Him walking beside us, leading and guiding our lives. He will work through you to accomplish His purposes. When you follow Him, you will be obeying and doing God’s will.

Say throughout the day, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches; He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing.

God Bless. Heal the broken-hearted, bind up all their wounds.
